Jo is a Benedictine Oblate, Catholic evangelist, TV news reporter, and Speech Pathologist.

An experienced media and communications professional, she holds a Masters degree in Journalism and a Bachelors degree in Speech Pathology.

Over the past 15 years, Jo has worked in a variety of broadcast journalism roles in Australia, and overseas, covering a wide range of local, national and international news events. In the last decade, Jo has spent 6 years working as a freelance reporter for Seven News Australia.

Side-by-side with her television journalism career, Jo has spent the past seven years studying Sacred Scripture, theology & philosophy. She has a deep love of Lectio Divina, and preaches The Word of God, nationally & internationally, as a Catholic evangelist.

Jo has a heart for the nations and travels extensively around the globe. She currently works as a Catholic preacher/speaker/presenter, at live in-person events, and on Catholic television.

As a Benedictine Oblate, Jo has a passion for leading people to the treasure that is silent meditation with The Word of God. She is an oblate of Jamberoo Abbey (NSW, AUSTRALIA), and an active member of the international Benedictine community (Sant’ Anselmo, Rome, Italy).

Jo is the founder of lectiomeditatio.com - a practical what/why/how to the ancient spiritual practice of Lectio Divina.

Jo leads various events/projects based on Lectio Meditatio. These include the ‘Lectio Meditatio’ TV series, originally broadcast on Shalom World TV, silent retreats, quiet days and meditation sessions.

Jo has the support of her local bishop, the Most Rev. Archbishop Mark Coleridge (immediate past President of the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference), Dr Mary Healy (member of the Pontifical Biblical Commission), Rev. Dr. Peter Pellicaan (Director, Evangelisation Brisbane), and Sr Samuel Angleys (Australia/South Pacific Prioress of the Sisters of the Morning Star).

Also a Speech Pathologist, Jo is passionate about speech, language, voice & literacy. She spent 12 months working in outback Australia, with the nation’s indigenous people, covering a wide range of adult and paediatric caseloads.

Jo is the founder of Etiquette Expert and is a media contributor and consultant on all things speech, manners and etiquette. In 2011, Jo completed a world-first research theses on afternoon tea etiquette.

Jo regularly MC's corporate and community events, and acts as an ambassador for various Australian charities.
